The Erste Markgräfler Winzergenossenschaft Schliengen-Müllheim with about 380 hectares of vineyards wants to establish a cooperative with supraregional Sales cooperation Weinallianz from Ruppertsberg (Pfalz) is restructuring its business. The Executive Board and Supervisory Board have decided to join the Wine Alliance as shareholders, thus organising large parts of the business in cooperation with the other winegrowers' cooperatives. This means that sales and administration with IT, accounting and payroll of the cooperative will in future be organised by the Wine Alliance. In addition, the sales company wants to support the WG Schliengen-Müllheim with an annual production of about 3.8 million bottles in coordination with the board of directors.

The office manager Karl-Friedrich Seywald, in agreement with the board of directors and supervisory board, moves to the Ihringen winegrowers' cooperative, which is also a member of the Weinallinaz. He is to accompany the transformation process.

Founded in 2001 and based in Ruppertsberg, the Wine Alliance with a turnover of around 50 million euros is the largest supra-regional sales cooperation of winegrowers' cooperatives and wineries in Germany. With its distribution network in Germany, it supplies the trade with wines from the Rhine-Hesse, Palatinate, Baden-Württemberg, Moselle and Franconia wine growing regions of around 2,500 hectares of vineyards.
