The Vienna wine fair VieVinum has been cancelled by the organizer due to restrictions caused by the Covid 19 outbreak. It was scheduled for 6 to 8 June 2020. Due to the uncertain situation regarding the development of the situation, the difficult decision was made to postpone this year's fair until 2021, the organiser M.A.C. Hoffmann announced. The options for a date in 2021 are currently being examined. VieVinum takes place regularly every two years.
Österreich Wein Marketing GmbH (ÖWM) welcomes the decision. It creates clarity for Austrian winegrowers, "even though it represents a serious break for the domestic wine industry".
