The Viennese real estate investor Thomas Levenitschnig has taken over the renowned Polz winery in Spielfeld in Styria. This is reported unanimously by the Austrian media. According to the report, the investor is buying the vineyard, the family's vinofactory in Vogau and the Hotel Gut Pössnitzberg. Rumors about the takeover have been circulating in the region for a long time. However, it is still unclear how the work will now be continued.

The newspaper "Kleine Zeitung" reports that Levenitschnig will be the managing director in the new management of the company. According to the report, Walter and Erich Polz will continue to run the winery. Walter Polz would continue to manage the vinofactory. Christoph Polz, son of Erich Polz, will remain responsible for the wines. The "Falstaff", on the other hand, reports that the Polz family wants to use the deal to buy back Thomas Levenitschnig's winery and vinofactory. Erich Polz will withdraw from the company and only work as a leaseholder of the Thallern winery in the south of Wien.
