According to figures from the Federal Statistical Office, the German wine harvest in 2018 will be smaller than forecast. According to these figures, 10.27 million hectolitres (hl) were produced here. In September 2018 the estimate was around eleven million hl, in October 10.76 million hl.

The largest harvest in Germany was in Rheinhessen with 2.86 million hl, followed by the Palatinate with 2.48 million hl, followed by Baden with 1.5 million hl and Württemberg with 1.15 million hl. Almost 900,000 hl were harvested on the Moselle.
