Under the motto "Become a wine discoverer", the German Wine Institute (DWI) organised many activities and tastings of German wine from 7 to 23 September.
This year's action weeks are to receive a breath of fresh air through the "Open Wine Day" in ten major German cities. For one day, around 130 wine shops and wine bars will offer individual collections of three different wines each, which can be tasted for only five euros. The pioneering cities are Berlin and Munich with 20 or more participating wine shops.
During the Wine Discoverer Weeks, more than 200 selected wine dealers and vinotheques, restaurants and hotels throughout Germany demonstrate the variety of German wines to connoisseurs with individual activities.
