From 8 to 24 September 2017 the "Wine Discoverer Weeks" will take place for the sixth time. Around 200 specialist retailers and restaurateurs invite wine fans and those who want to become wine fans to taste and enjoy creative activities involving wines from the German wine growing regions.
From Flensburg to Lake Constance, from Aachen to Upper Lusatia, the partners will be offering a wide range of enjoyment events over the 17 days of the event, including wine-grower evenings, wine tastings, kitchen parties and wine menus. In five major German cities, there are also special tasting concepts.
In Hamburg, Berlin and Cologne, participants of guided "Wine Discoverer Tours" can get to know three or four partner wineries on each of these routes: in Hamburg on 9 September in St. Pauli and on 23 September in Eimsbüttel; in Berlin on 9 September in Mitte and on 23 September in Charlottenburg; in Cologne on 16 September in Ehrenfeld and in the Belgian Quarter. At each station, various local wines will be tasted.
In Munich and Frankfurt, an "Open Wine Day" will take place, where wine shops, vinotheques and wine bars invite you to experience German wines: in Munich on 9 September in the districts of Neuhausen, Schwabing and Glockenbach; in Frankfurt on 16 September in the districts of Westend, City, Bockenheim and Nordend.

The "Wine Discoverer Weeks" are organised by the German Wine Institute (DWI); cooperation partners are Schott Zwiesel, Selters, Mercure Hotels and Wein-Plus.
