The Vinexpo wine fair in Bordeaux ended a few days ago with a 30 percent drop in visitors and exhibitors. This year, the large open areas were occupied by food tents, book offers, a large restaurant and an Air France presentation. In spite of new services such as the use of public transport with the tickets and other offers, the number of visitors had fallen far short of expectations.
The Vinexpo managers are currently working on a new strategy that should produce results by 2021 at the latest, to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the fair.
