The organic association Ecovin and the vegan and vegetarian organisation ProVeg presented common criteria for the licensing of vegan wine at the Biofach trade fair in Nuremberg. They refer to the entire production process. Companies belonging to Ecovin can now label their wine with the V-logo of the European Vegetarian Union, which is spread worldwide, if it has not been produced with additives of animal origin such as gelatine, house blister or or chicken egg white. In return, an annual fee is payable for the use of the label.
