The renowned French barrel manufacturer Quintessence has for the first time presented a barrique series with a reference to origin. The barrels of the "Foret D'Origine" collection bear the names "Essence de Chantilly" and "Essence de Montpensier".
The wood of these premium barriques comes from the geographically very small forests of Chantilly and Montpensier in the Ile de France region. Both woods differ significantly in their structure due to the soil conditions, Quintessence said. Accordingly, the degree of toasting was designed individually. The wood was stored for 30 months before processing.
