Twelve of the best Saar wineries invite you to a joint tasting weekend on 25 and 26 August 2018 under the title "SaarRieslingSommer". This year, guest winemakers from the German and Luxembourg Moselle, the Ruwer, from Würtemberg, the Palatinate, the Rheingau and from Portugal will also be present. At twelve stations, wines from a total of 42 wineries will be tasted, including Reichsgraf von Kesselstatt, forester Geltz-Zilliken, von Hövel, Van Volxem, Schloss Saarstein, von Othegraven, Piedmont, Dr. Wagner, Schloss Lieser, Nik Weis - St. Urbans-Hof and the discovery of the year in the GaultMillau Wine Guide 2018, Stefan Müller. Top winemakers from other regions are also guests, for example, von Winning from the Palatinate, Jean Stodden von der Ahr, Karl Haidle from Württemberg and Theresa Breuer and Gunter Künstler from the Rheingau.

The seventh SaarRieslingSummer begins on Friday, 24 August, with a culinary kick-off event with star chef Johann Lafer at the Würtzberg Winery in Serrig. The exclusive 4-course menu will be accompanied by top wines from the participating wineries. The demand for the limited seats was so great that the event was sold out within an hour.

On Saturday and Sunday, 25 and 26 August, twelve Saar Wine Estates will open their doors from 12 to 6 p.m. each and together with 30 guest wineries invite you to a wine tour along the Saar from Konz-Filzen to Serrig. Visitors can start their journey to the Saar Riesling at any of the stations. The day ticket (Saturday or Sunday) for the rehearsal costs 35 euros, the ticket for both days 50 euros. Between the individual stations, the wineries offer a free transfer.
