Record proceeds were achieved at the traditional wine auction of the VDP Rheingau on 29 February in Kloster Eberbach. For example, the single bottle of 1920 Riesling Schloss Johannisberger Goldlack Trockenbeerenauslese Schloss Johannisberger Goldlack won the bid at 18,000 euros. The second record result was also surprising: a 0.7l bottle 1945 Spätburgunder Assmannshäuser Höllenberg Natur from Kloster Eberbach won the bid at 12,600 Euros. The proceeds of this benefit wine are intended for charitable purposes.
