Messegesellschaft Düsseldorf has officially confirmed the postponement of ProWein. It will therefore not take place from 15 to 17 March as planned. In doing so it is following the recommendation of the crisis management team of the Federal Government to take the principles of the Robert Koch Institute into account in the risk assessment of major events.
"On the basis of this recommendation and the recent significant increase in the number of infected persons, also in Europe, Messe Düsseldorf has reassessed the situation. Added to this is the uncertainty of numerous exhibitors and visitors at the events in March and the complicated travel situation, especially for international customers," says a statement by the trade fair company.
The new date has not yet been announced.
