More than 6,900 suppliers came to Düsseldorf. Among them were also 400 producers and distributors of spirits. The biggest exhibiting nations at ProWein were Italy (1,654) and France (1,576), followed by Germany (978), overseas (600), Austria (335), Spain (661) and Portugal (387).

The four trend themes at ProWein had met with great interest: This year, trend scouts Stuart Pigott and Paula Sidore identified the themes "Wines from High Altitude Regions", "Wine in Cans", the comeback of "Field Blends" and the grape varieties "Chenin Blanc & Gamay. Other special shows were the Champagne Lounge with 50 traditional houses and the organic wine area with around 300 exhibitors.
