The 58 members of the French association of wooden barrel producers sold 670,000 barrels worth 475.6 million euros worldwide in 2018. On average, a wooden barrel cost about 710 euros, the association reports. According to the data, the prices are increasing significantly: Since 2015, the prices have become more expensive by about eleven per cent, i.e. on average about two per cent per year.
