The Piedmontese top winery Poderi Luigi Einaudi continues to expand in Barolo. As reported by the "Wine Spectator", the estate owner Matteo Sardagna Einaudi has bought two hectares of the top vineyard Monvigliero in Verduno together with the associated winery for around 3.5 million euros.

In 2016, the winemaker had already taken over nine hectares of top sites in Bussia. In total, the Barolo and Dogliani estate now has around 55 hectares of vineyards. In the purchased vineyard, whose owners have so far only grown grapes, the Einaudi-Barolos are to be produced and stored in future. In total, Einaudi has invested just over twelve million euros in Barolo.

His first project is a Barolo made from wines from the four regions and named "Ludo". His son will bear the name Ludovico. According to Wine Spectator, the first vineyard Barolos will appear in 2021. He also wants to produce a Bussia Dardi Riserva.
