This year, the top Tuscan winery Ornellaia celebrates the 30th anniversary of its wine production since 1985 and the tenth anniversary of its art project "Vendemmia d'Artista". To this end, it has commissioned the renowned South African artist William Kentridge to create an installation at the winery and to design special labels for the current 2015 vintage. In addition, there will be an anniversary gala at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London with an auction by Sotheby's, the proceeds of which will be used to support the museum's artistic education program. According to the winery, nine rare bottles or cases will be auctioned off.
For the anniversary, Kentridge has designed a series of 111 large-format bottles and designed a limited edition label that will be used for one of six bottles per case. The name of the Ornellaia vintage 2015 is "Charisma".
