Online purchases of alcoholic beverages in April have increased fivefold in the US due to Covid-19 restrictions. This was reported by the Nielsen market research institute. According to the report, wine was the most frequently ordered beverage, accounting for around 70 percent of all orders.
In the period between March 1 and April 18, the increase was 234 percent. In the last two weeks of April, sales increased almost vertically. The purchase value per order has also increased dramatically, Nielsen reports in his report.
