Wine closure producer Vinventions has announced a recycling partnership with French wine store chain Nicolas. According to Vinventions, the two companies have agreed that Nicolas employees will collect the group's opened "Nomacorc" stoppers and synthetic corks in 500 stores in order to produce new closures in the future. "Polymer-based corks are among the most sustainable products when made from renewable materials, used or recycled," said Michael Blaise, vice president of sustainability. The project is part of a Group initiative to help conserve resources and protect the climate in seven nations.
The project with Nicolas is to start next year. The company has not yet announced further details.
