The Barrique Forum Pfalz is under new leadership. At the recent general meeting in Maikammer, a new board was elected, headed by Marco Göbel and Marius Meyer. The elected duo wants to take innovative paths and thus advance the forum.

With the election of Marco Göbel as first chairman and Marius Meyer as his deputy, the Barrique Forum has chosen a duo that wants to further establish the association with new ideas. As managing director of the agency "Wineworlds" based in Ellerstadt in the Palatinate, Marco Göbel wants to promote the Forum in the future with his long experience in marketing. With Marius Meyer from the Klaus & Marius Meyer winery in Rhodt unter Rietburg in the Palatinate, he has a young, dynamic winemaker at his side. According to a press release, the new board is concerned with "clearly sharpening its own profile and thus the qualitative positioning of its member wineries".

The board also includes Joan Weik (Weingut Weik, Neustadt), Ralf Bonnet (Weingut Georg Naegele - Schlossbergkellerei, Neustadt-Hambach), Johannes Jülg (Weingut Jülg, Schweigen), Erich Stachel (Weingut Stachel, Maikammer), Dr. Steffen Michler (Michler Winery, Bad Dürkheim), Michael Schroth (Schroth Winery, Grünstadt-Asselheim) and Joachim Wegner (Wegner Winery, Bad Dürkheim).
