The German Football Association (DFB) is expanding its wine offer in the business and hospitality sectors at all home matches of the DFB national football team. In the future, there will be a wine bar there for guests under the expert guidance of a sommelier with a wide range of selected wines from the German wine growing regions.

The wines on offer come from a collection of 26 wines selected by the DFB from around 450 samples sent in by the German Wine Institute (DWI) following a nationwide invitation to tender. These include bottles from renowned producers such as Wittmann (Rheinhessen), Schloss Vollrads, Künstler, Leitz and August Kesseler (Rheingau), Matthias Müller (Mittelrhein) and Wilhelmshof (Pfalz).

The new wines were served for the first time on 27 May at the DFB Cup final matches of the men in Berlin and the women in Cologne. In Berlin they were offered in the boxes of the Olympic Stadium and the "Football Village" by sommelier Arno Steguweit and his team at two wine bars.

In the next two years, VIP guests will also be able to taste them at all home games of the DFB women's national team and the men's U21 team.
