The Board of Directors of the German Wine Fund (DWF) has elected Klaus Schneider from Dirmstein in Bodenheim, Palatinate, as Chairman. Schneider thus also chairs the DWF Supervisory Board, of which he has been a member since 2017.

Klaus Schneider takes over the office from Norbert Weber from Baden, who has been Chairman of the Supervisory Board for 18 years and recently retired from DWF committees. The DWF Board of Directors elected Christian Schwörer from the group of winegrowing associations as a new member of the Supervisory Board. He is the future Secretary General of the German Winegrowers' Association.

The Supervisory Board decides on all issues relating to the DWF's area of responsibility within the framework of the Board of Directors' resolutions submitted to it. As a rule, these have a direct impact on the work of the German Wine Institute (DWI), whose shareholders include the DWF.

The deputy chairman Dr. Christian Weseloh (head of department at the German Raiffeisenverband), Ulrich Breutner (spokesman of the board of directors of the Werbegemeinschaft Württembergischer Weingärtnergenossenschaften), Peter Rotthaus (managing director of the Bundesverband der deutschen Weinkellereien und des Weinfachhandels) as well as Johannes Hübinger (chairman of the advisory board of ZGM GmbH) were re-elected to the supervisory board.

Other members of the supervisory board include Dr. Dirk Richter (managing director of Weingut Max. Ferd. Richter), Artur Steinmann (president of the Franconian Winegrowers' Association), Ingo Steitz (president of the Rhine-Hesse Winegrowers' Association) and Rolf Haxel (president of the Moselle Winegrowers' Association).
