Klaus-Peter Keller from Rheinhessen has taken over a vineyard on the Moselle. The world-renowned winegrower from Rheinhessen already leased the 0.8 ha steep slope of Schubertslay in Piesport, which is owned by the Vereinigte Hospitien, in October. In 2018, he wants to produce wine from there for the first time.

As the British wine bloggers Jean Fisch and David Rayer write, Keller was made aware of the quality of the monopollage by the winemaker Julian Haart, whose family had leased it since 2011. However, through his work with the old steep slopes of his Joh. Haart winery, he decided to give up the vineyard. Haart completed part of his training with Klaus-Peter Keller, and the two are good friends. Keller's mother comes from a family of winegrowers from the Moselle.

However, the site is not to be found in the historical vineyard maps, because the name was only used at the beginning of the 20th century by the Felzen vineyard, one of the founding members of the "Großer Ring".
