The Bordeaux of the 2018 vintage will, with a few exceptions, be considerably more expensive than 2017 and 2016, a trend that is currently emerging and which has been confirmed by the Châteaux Rauzan-Ségla and Canon owned by the luxury label Chanel. They have now published their prices.

According to this, Château Canon 2018 from St. Emilion (Premier Grand Cru Classé B) will cost almost 30 per cent more than in 2017 and almost 20 per cent more than in 2016. Rauzan-Ségla will be even more expensive: here, prices will rise by 36 per cent compared to 2017, while Château Palmer will add around 25 per cent. In addition, the bottle prices of Château Gruaud-Larose will cost an extra twelve percent compared to 2017, as will Château Talbot 2018 from St Julien. Château Léoville Barton adds 17 percent to the 2017 price.

Only Château Kirwan from Margeux has so far remained almost at the 2017 level, only adding just under two percent to the inflation rate.
