The "Kamptal Regional Committee" and the Kamptal Wine Route have launched the "Kamptal Academy" for further wine education. It offers three modules to beginners, wine lovers and wine professionals, in which winemakers of the region teach. Each module concludes with an examination which entitles the student to participate in the next module, the Kamptal Regional Committee announced.
Module one is therefore aimed at wine lovers and beginners without previous knowledge. In just under two hours they will learn interesting facts about wine in general and about Kamptal wine in particular. The first part is theoretical, in the second hour six different types of wine from the Kamptal Valley are tasted together.
The Kamptal Academy is mobilely organized, the seminars are held in wineries or vinotheques. For the lecturers there is also the possibility to lead into the own vineyard or into the barrel cellar after the lecture, to impart basic knowledge as well as personal experiences and to open insights into the work in the vineyard.
