The Bordeaux-Châteaux Haut-Bailly in Graves as well as Le Pape in Pessac-Léognan are continued by his son Chris after the death of the well-known American investor and owner Robert 'Bob' Wilmers. Wilmers died last December at the age of 83. Christ Wilmers is Professor of Ecology at the Environmental Studies Department of the University of California at Santa Cruz. He had previously conducted intensive research on the consequences of climate change and had been a member of the supervisory board of both estates since 1998.

Wilmers will manage the wineries in the future together with the winemaker Véronique Sanders, the wineries announced. They want to continue the work "with the same spirit and energy as in the past 20 years".
