The renowned French wine house Maisons et Domaines Henriot has taken over the Beaux Frères Vineyard in Oregon, which specialises in Pinot Noir. The wine critic Robert Parker has long been involved in this acquisition. The purchase includes the winery buildings and cellar in Newberg and 14.2 hectares of vineyards. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.

According to information from "Wine Spectator", Parker will hold a small share of his investment. The responsible winemaker and co-founder Michael G. Etzel, Robert Parker's brother-in-law, will continue to run the winery as a partner of Henriot. In contrast, the French-Canadian investor Robert Roy, who had been involved in the business since 1991, has sold all his shares in Henriot.

For Maisons et Domaines Henriot this is the first acquisition in the USA. The company owns the champagne houses Henriot and Bouchard Père et Fils, the wineries William Fèvre in Chablis and Château de Poncié in Beaujolais, and the cassis producer Lejay-Lagoute, who owns the trademark rights to Kir and Kir-Royal.
