Hawesko Holding AG in Hamburg achieved sales of around Euro 555 million in the 2019 financial year and thus generated a profit of Euro 29 million. This was announced by the wine trading group. According to the figures, this represents an increase in sales of 5.9 per cent compared to 2018, when the profit was 27.7 million euros.

According to Hawesko, e-commerce and retail trade were the main growth areas. According to the figures, online trade grew by 5.1 percent to 174 million euros. In the retail business, the wine retail chain Jacques' Wein-Depot increased its sales by 3.6 percent to 163 million euros. The Austrian branch chain Wein & Co., which was acquired in autumn 2018, increased its sales by a whopping 17.4 percent to €40m annual sales. However, these comparative figures only refer to the last quarter of 2018 following the takeover. Overall, the listed group of companies reported an adjusted sales increase of 1.3 percent.

Hawesko's B2B business was less successful. The group recorded a decline in sales of 4.1 per cent to Euro 179 million. The reason for this was the weaker export business and lower wholesale sales. In particular, business with food retailers did not perform as well.
