The publisher of the Guide Michelin wine and gastronomy guide has taken over the newsletter "The Wine Advocate", founded by Robert Parker. This was announced at a press conference a few days ago, reports "Drinks Business". In 2017, the Guide Michelin had already acquired a 40 percent stake in the publication.
The new owners appointed the Frenchman Nicolas Achard, previously Managing Director of Michelin Food & Beverage Asia in Singapore, as the new CEO of "The Wine Advocate". He said that the acquisition would enable "The Wine Advocate" to "expand its geographical footprint" and promised readers new, "exclusive experiences" with gastronomy and wine.
