Richard Grosche and Mathieu Kauffmann take over the management of the VDP vineyard Karthäuserhof in Trier-Eitelsbach an der Ruwer. Richard Grosche will take over as managing director in spring 2020, taking over marketing and sales, while Mathieu Kauffmann will be responsible for wine production as technical director. They are succeeded by Julia Lübcke, who leaves the company with unknown destination.
Grosche and Kauffmann were in charge of the Palatinate VDP top winery Reichsrat von Buhl in Deidesheim from 2013 to summer 2019.
Richard Grosche will start work at the Karthäuserhof in a few days, Mathieu Kauffmann is supposed to start working with the Keller team in spring. They also want to invest in the estate building and the vineyards together with the owner of the Karthäuserhof, Albert Behler.
Kauffmann will, however, continue to operate its own projects in southern Alsace and the new sparkling wine company Christmann & Kauffmann with VDP President Steffen Christmann.
