The French wine company Grands Chais de France (GCDF) has taken over the well-known Burgundy Négociant Maison Desvignes Ainé et Fils for an unknown price. The company with 36 hectares of its own vineyards near Chablis works with many prestigious Burgundy estates. GCDF intends to improve its position in the premium wine segment and better meet the demand in the long term, even with difficult vintages, according to a press release.
