Giuseppe Rinaldi, one of the most famous and renowned Barolo winemakers in Piedmont, died a few days ago at the age of 70. The licensed veterinarian joined the family winery in 1967 at the age of 29. Since 1993 he had marketed his Barolos under the names Brunate, Le Coste, Cannubi San Lorenzo and Ravera.

Rinaldi, whom his friends called "Beppe", has never changed his traditional elegant style with long Nebbiola life and ageing in Slovenian barrels. He was very sceptical about quickly accessible Barolo until the end. His work as well as his style is carried on by his daughters Marta and Carlotta Rinaldi.
