Meininger-Verlag has announced the winners of the "Best of Riesling" competition. In the world's largest Riesling comparative tasting, a jury of over 100 experts evaluated around 2,400 Rieslings from 14 countries, 3 continents and a total of 27 wine-growing regions. The Rhineland-Palatinate Ministry of Viticulture has taken over the patronage of the competition
"At 'Best of Riesling', Rieslings from all over the world showed their full potential. The results show once again that there are a large number of winemakers in Germany and around the world who are perfectly capable of producing true masterpieces from Riesling," Christoph Meininger, publisher and organiser of the competition, concludes.
