Geldermann has relaunched its range for the food retail trade. The sparkling wines Classique Sec, Rosé Sec and Brut, which are produced in traditional bottle fermentation, will be delivered in a new presentation from May 2017. The sparkling wine of the traditional brand, which belongs to Rotkäppchen-Mumm Sektkellereien GmbH, will then be priced at around nine euros per bottle.

The relaunch of the almost 180-year-old traditional house with roots in Champagne includes a new, more bulbous bottle design with elegant labels and classy fittings, a high-quality carton design and a revised retail presence: "We have given Geldermann a complete makeover. The aim was to respond precisely to our customers' needs for a premium sparkling wine of high quality," says Cathrin Duppel, marketing manager at Rotkäppchen-Mumm.

To simplify the name of the range, the producer has renamed its most popular variety "Carte Blanche" to "Geldermann Classique Sec". Like Rosé Sec and Brut, it will be filled in bulbous, Masson-green bottles from May. The portraits of founder Peter and son Alfred Geldermann can now be seen on the neck of the bottle. The new labels in silver, rosé and gold are meant to be reminiscent of a coat of arms. The traditional bottle fermentation will also be thematised by display furniture in the look of a rattling desk. In addition, a comprehensive relaunch is planned for 2018 in specialised trade and gastronomy, Geldermann announced.
