As expected by many experts, the En-Primeur campaign in Bordelais has resulted in some very significant price reductions. At the Premiers Grands Crus, a bottle of 2017 Margaux and 2017 Mouton Rothschild will cost only 348 euros instead of 420 euros for the 2016 vintage, which means a discount of around 17 percent for both wines. The wines from Troplong Mondot will be even cheaper at 72 euros instead of 102 euros in 2016, a drop of almost 30 percent. Pontet Canet will be around 26 percent cheaper with 80 euros instead of 108 euros in 2016, while Pichon Lalande will be 25 percent cheaper. Many other goods have reduced their prices by up to about 20 percent.

The second wines, on the other hand, are coming onto the market at significantly lower discounts of only about three to ten percent. Mouton Rothschild, on the other hand, is offering 144 euros per bottle for its second wine Le Petit Mouton - around nine percent more than last year.
