On the occasion of the international "Biodiversity Day", the organic producers' association Ecovin drew attention to its programme to improve biodiversity in the vineyards. At last year's general meeting, the action plan (Ecovin.BAP for short) was included in the association's guidelines, the association writes in a press release. Ecovin is the first organic association in which members commit themselves to document and continuously improve their work to promote biodiversity. The first year is currently being evaluated.
The Ecovin.BAP was developed within the framework of two longer projects. Today, it comprises 110 major and minor changes, with which Ecovin farms could improve biodiversity along the entire production chain.
