The new wine collection of the German Football Association (DFB) for the business and hospitality areas of the DFB international matches in their own country has been announced.

It comprises a selection of a total of 26 German wines, which were chosen by the DFB from over 400 samples sent in after a nationwide invitation to tender by the German Wine Institute (DWI).

Over the next two years, VIP guests will be able to enjoy the wines at all home matches of the DFB men's and women's national teams as well as the U21 men's team and at the DFB Cup final in Berlin. At the home games of the DFB men's national team, the wines will also be served at a special wine bar under the expert guidance of sommelier Arno Steguweit.

DWI Managing Director Monika Reule thanked the DFB after the tasting for consistently choosing wines of German origin for the last 13 years. "The DFB's commitment to wine is an important image-building measure for all German wine," said Reule. The new wine collection will be used for the first time on 6 September at the men's game against the Netherlands in Hamburg.
