The renowned and internationally known Duckhorn Wine Company from Napa Valley (USA) has taken over the Kost Browne winery in Sebastopol, Sonoma (USA), which has become famous for its Pinot Noir, for an undisclosed purchase price. The estate was founded in 2001 by Dan Kosta and Michael Browne and has gained a world-renowned reputation with its internationally highly awarded single-vineyard Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. It is considered one of the most important wineries on the US wine scene.

Duckhorn Vineyards was founded in 1976 by Dan and Margaret Duckhorn and, in addition to wine production, has established itself as an investment company for farms of a very high standard. It is involved as owner or co-owner in the Goldeneye, Paraduxx, Migration, Decoy, Canvasback and Calera wineries.
