The DOCa Rioja Control Board has launched an English-Spanish project to train new experts in the growing area through online courses. The "Online Rioja Wine Academy", founded in 2016, has now released four courses with a final examination. They include the "Rioja Wine Diploma", the "Diploma in Rioja Wine for Trade and Distribution", a "Diploma in Rioja Wine Tourism" and the degree of "Rioja Wine Certified Educator".
The training is completed by the students via an e-learning platform. The courses are free of charge and admission. Only for the training to become an "Official Rioja Wine Certified Educator" has the Control Board defined some admission requirements.
