This year, the German Wine Institute (DWI), together with all the German wine advertising associations, is once again awarding particularly spectacular vantage points into the wine landscapes as "Most Beautiful Wine View 2020". Interested parties can vote for the winners in an online poll on the DWI website from February 10 to March 15. One favorite for each wine region can be chosen from a total of 47 submitted proposals.
The new "Schönsten Weinsichten 2020" will be marked with a three-meter-high stele by Mainz artist Ulrich Schreibe and will be officially opened in the 13 wine growing regions in the course of the year.
According to the DWI, the 2012 and 2016 award winning viewpoints in all wine growing regions show that the "Schönsten Weinsichten" have been well received. There, visitors can find information about the surrounding area and receive directions, maps, geodata and further explanations on the DWI website under "Tourism".
