The German Wine Institute (DWI) has again put together a seminar programme for the coming year. The seminars, which can be booked now, offer employees from gastronomy, trade and the wine industry as well as wine connoisseurs qualified further training on all aspects of wines from the German wine regions.

The programme ranges from basic seminars for beginners to sensory seminars lasting several days to a 30-day training course to become a "German Wine Professional".

Wine connoisseur and tasting seminars are designed for wine lovers who want to get an overview of the German wine variety as well as the harmony of wine and food.

For self-marketing wine producers and marketing staff, the DWI is offering a workshop on developing an individual brand strategy for the first time. A sales training course is dedicated to the question "How to sell more wine from now on" and the seminar "More turnover with wine in food retail" gives food retail professionals tips on how to increase turnover and acquire new customers.

Another new addition to the programme is the workshop "Grilling & Wine" in Berlin, which aims to give participants more confidence in choosing wine. One of the classics in the training programme is the 1.5-day seminar to become a "Recognised Consultant for German Wine", Germany's most successful wine seminar with over 100,000 participants to date.

The DWI training trips will take wine professionals to the Palatinate and the Hessische Bergstrasse in the coming year.

The 2019 DWI seminar programme can be ordered free of charge by emailing kirstin.denzer@eutscheweine.de and is available for download with all registration forms at www.deutscheweine.de.
