The Grand Cru vineyard Château Margaux in Bordelais is changing its bottle design. With the 2016 vintage for red wine and 2017 for white wine, the font on the labels will change. In the new version for first wine, second wine and white wine, it takes up the label and the font of the 1865 vintage.

The Château has also changed the colour scheme: The designers have chosen a light red for the Pavillon Rouge, a rather strong Chinese blue for the Pavillon Blanc and a light black, reaching into grey, for the first wine. The capsules, which now have a matt surface, are also designed in these colours.

From 2016, the wooden boxes will be produced from the Radiata pine, while the boxes for six bottles will have the Château emblem on the lid. The Château already changed the colour of the bottles with the 2015 vintage. They are now significantly darker than in the previous vintages.
