The renowned Bordeaux vineyard Château Dauzac in Margaux with 49 hectares of vineyards has been sold for 120 million euros according to unconfirmed sources. The previous owner, the French insurance group MAIF, transferred it in December 2018 to the entrepreneur Christian Roulleau from Rennes, co-founder of the personnel service provider Samsic, which is also active in Germany.

The estate, classified as Cinquièmes Cru, which also owns two hectares of vineyards in the Haut Médoc, was advised for a long time by Pascal Marie André Ribéreau-Gayon, one of the most important oenologists in France and author of the standard work of French oenology. From 1991 to 2013, the renowned Lurton family of winemakers was responsible for wine production, with André Lurton working there as technical director. Laurent Fortin, the operations manager appointed by MAIF in 2013, is to continue his work.
