Château Angludet im Margaux will not publish any wine from the 2017 vintage. The reason is the minimal and poor quality harvest due to the frost in April last year, said Charles Sichel, owner of the Négociants Maison Sichel and also owner of the winery, in an interview with "Drinks Business". "In an average vintage, we produce about 1600 hectolitres of first and second wine, in 2017 we only harvested about 150 hectolitres. Most of this quantity consisted of second generation grapes, which only developed after the frost. Their quality is not the best," he added.

After the worst frost in the Bordelais since 1945, the list of goods that do not produce a first wine or even no wine at all is getting longer. In addition to Angludet, Château Climens in Barsac, Château Fieuzal in Pessac Léognan and Château Chantegrive in Graves, for example, have also announced that they will not be releasing wines from the 2017 vintage.
