The champagne house Krug now has a head winemaker: Julie Cavil has been appointed "head of the Caves", taking over from Eric Lebel. She studied oenology in Reims and initially worked for several years at the champagne house Moët & Chandon, which, like Krug, belongs to the luxury group LVMH. In 2006 she began her career as a winemaker and as a member of Krug's tasting committee. She was also responsible for harvesting the grapes from the top vineyard Clos du Mesnil.

Her predecessor Eric Lebel remains in the house and works directly with Krug's managing director Maggie Henriquez on projects within the portfolio of the LVMH division Moët Hennesey.
