The German wine expert Caro Maurer MW has been honoured by the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) with the "Outstanding Alumni Award". The highest distinction of the WSET is carried by the publicist Jancis Robinson MW. It is awarded to graduates who, according to WSET, have made "a significant contribution to the promotion of wine understanding in the world".
The nomination is made by Jancis Robinson and the International Advisory Board of the WSET. WSET graduates from around the world are eligible to vote.
