The German media group Hubert Burda Media has acquired the restaurant and wine guide Gault&Millau. This was announced by the company. According to the announcement, Dr. Christoph Wirtz will be appointed German editor-in-chief. He has previously worked as author of "Stern", the "Welt am Sonntag", as tester of several restaurant guides and as columnist for "Der Feinschmecker".

Ursula Haslauer was appointed Executive Publisher, who was previously responsible for "Falstaff Germany" as publisher. Otto Geisel will take over the expert advisory board of Gault&Millau. He is founder of the Institute for Food Culture and initiator of the Food Management course at the Baden-Württemberg University of Applied Sciences. He has also worked as an author on culinary topics.

The editorial team is currently working on new offers in the areas of magazine, online, moving image and in cooperation with partners. According to Burda, Gault&Millau will work closely with the TV channel "BonGusto" and the restaurant platform "Your Taste Guide".
