Bordeaux has launched its Primeur campaign in 2019. Château Pontet-Canet was the first to do so: the ex-château price is now only 58 euros per bottle, 31 percent less than last year. In 2018, the price was still 84 euros. The end-customer price, including all retail margins, is therefore likely to be below 70 euros.
Château Palmer is also an early entrant. Its 2019-er is expected to cost ex-Château 161 euros, a price reduction of 33 percent compared to 2018.
