The wine education provider WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) is celebrating its 50th anniversary with events in the UK, Shanghai, Thailand, New Zealand, Mexico and China. The first birthday event in London is an event to be documented in the Guinness Book of Records: The members want to organize the world's most attended sommelier training seminar. In addition, there are to be many more seminars and master classes, for example on combining wine and food.
According to the company, more than 500,000 people have received wine training since its foundation in 1969.
