The Italian wine company Antinori has taken over the Tuscan winery Rubbia al Colle in Val di Cornia (Maremma) from the Italian texttile manufacturer family Muratori. The estate comprises the newly built estate house with underground cellar, built in 2008, and 72 hectares of vineyards. It is planted with Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
Antinori is the largest private vineyard owner in Italy and the third largest wine company in the country, with currently 2,800 hectares under cultivation. The group now owns 15 wineries worldwide.
