The Portuguese closure major producer Amorim wants to use newly developed technologies to produce its corks with a "zero TCA risk" from December 2020 onwards. This was explained by its CEO Antonio Amorim to the French wine magazine "Revue du Vin de France" (RVF). In an interview with the Zeitschreitft, Amorim said that his company had developed a new, reliable process that enabled the detection and elimination of TCA in granulated and natural corks very quickly in "very large quantities".
